Paul’s new spring print release is almost upon us, these will be appearing in our store, and from Washington Green very soon. This year there are a real mixture of images, from vibrant and dynamic London scenes, to romantic Parisian views.

There is also an exciting new original painting in Paul’s store for those with a fondness for classic Italian style. Check out ‘Vespa Love’ here.

And finally there are still a few of Paul’s experimental paintings available on ebay for those of you looking for something a bit different.

London is one of my favourite cities to paint. It has so many moods and dimensions I never tire of painting it. I wanted my egg to capture as many of this vibrant and dynamic cities facets as possible, whilst using the structure and unique format of the egg to it’s fullest. As with all of my paintings I try to capture the sprit and energy of a place alongside it’s physical appearance, I want my egg to be a celebration of all things London, especially as 2012 is going to be such an exciting year for the city.

Paul has recently returned from a trip to San Francisco full of ideas and inspiration for future paintings, so look out for these in 2012. Capturing a snapshot of all things quintessentially from London Town, I kept the colouring simple in this piece.  Working with a minimal palette, adding flashes of red and yellow to highlight the iconic elements of the composition. The trademark bold red shapes of the telephone box and London bus created perfect composition with a  black London cab streaming past, delivering the rhythm and hub of the bustling streets of London.  The energy of iconic transport flows within this classic image.
