‘Battersea Blues’ – An Original Battersea Power Station Painting by Paul Kenton
24" x 24"
Mixed Media on Aluminium
Black floating frame
Battersea Power Station stands proud on the South Bank of the River Thames. Its distinct chimneys tower into bright blue skies. Painting with thick oil paint, Paul captures the subtle movement of the clouds in the sky and rippling reflections on the water. Paul is fascinated by capturing fleeting moments in time, and how the mood of the urban landscape can be transformed by ever-changing light and weather conditions.
You might also enjoy these other London paintings from Paul's 365 Project. This was a year-long journey exploring a different range of mediums & working at sizes often smaller, than with his studio pieces. In many cases these formed the studies behind the larger studio works.
