Paul captures the streets surrounding the Flatiron Building with loose washes and flicks of paint to create the impression of fast-paced movement. Flashes of yellow hint at taxis rushing by, and firmly locate this scene on the streets of New York City. Black inked lines draw the eye towards the distinct triangular silhouette of the Flatiron Building rising above.
