London’s iconic red buses make their way through the city on a bright and beautiful summer evening. Dripped lines in yellow and red overlap to suggest the great number of journeys made along the busy capital’s streets every day. The historic 16th century architecture of the Royal Exchange is juxtapozed against towering modern skyscrapers in the distance, including the Gherkin, the Walkie Talkie, and the Cheese Grater. Exploring Paul’s fascination with how light interacts with the urban environment, the glass facades of the skyscrapers transform as they reflect the warm glow of the sun. Areas of gleaming aluminium are left exposed to emphasise the dazzling light bouncing around the city.
