“Panoramic Glow” is a sweeping, widescreen vision of London bathed in soft evening light. Spanning the breadth of the Thames, the scene captures everything from Tower Bridge in the distance to the curve of City Hall and the rise of The Shard. Painted in mixed media on aluminium, the surface plays an active role in the composition. Paul deliberately leaves areas of raw metal exposed in key architectural elements, allowing natural highlights to shimmer through the paint. These reflective touches catch and respond to ambient light, bringing an added sense of atmosphere to the scene and echoing the way the city itself glows as day begins to fade.
