A tall chimney sends a slow plume of smoke into a soft grey sky above a working riverside, where cranes, sheds and a low barge huddle along the far bank. In the foreground the water ripples wide and pale, its surface broken by delicate, calligraphic marks that catch the muted light.
Kenton handles the whole scene in atmospheric ink, letting graded washes carry the haze and damp chill of the river while fine, energetic linework animates the water. The result is moody, industrial and quietly poetic.
