Heavy cloud hangs over the Thames as a working crane stands against the skyline and barges sit dark on the still water. A tree-lined embankment curves away toward a distant clock tower, lone figures dotting the path while reflections shiver across the river beneath an overcast, brooding sky.
Kenton draws and washes with loose, expressive ink, building a moody London in nothing but greys, the river and sky merging into one another.
This is an original watercolour and ink on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
