The sky ignites in bands of crimson, tangerine and gold above a silhouetted skyline, a familiar dome and clustered towers held dark against the glow. Below, a bridge stretches across the river and the whole spectacle melts into the rippling water, reflections bleeding teal and rose into the current. A single red bus glints on the embankment.
It is a gorgeous, full-throated farewell to the day, colour at its boldest and most romantic.
This is an original mixed media painting on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
