“Riverside Light”

A still river stretches towards a pale, hazy horizon where a slender clock tower stands faint against the light. A working barge and crane rest at the near bank, while a line of bare trees punctuates the curving embankment, their forms softened by the damp air. The whole scene seems held in a single, muted breath of early light.
Ink, gouache and charcoal combine here to layer atmosphere and texture, from the smoky water to the crisp dark accents of the riverside.
