A grand stone bridge tower looms through a veil of mist, its archway glowing softly above a street ablaze with autumn colour. Burnished oranges and golds frame the scene, while yellow cabs and red lights scatter their reflections in shimmering pools across the rain-drenched road.
Fluid washes and rich, saturated colour give the painting a warm, romantic glow, balancing the cool grey of the bridge against the fire of the turning leaves.
This is an original watercolour, gouache and ink painting on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection. It is float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
