Storm clouds gather above the clock tower as rain sweeps the street below, a flash of red from a bus and a phone box cutting through the brooding greys. Charcoal blurs the crowd into hurried, hunched silhouettes, while smudges of pink and ochre catch on the wet pavement. The architecture stands firm against the weather, gilded and stately amid the swirl.
There is real drama in it, the energy of a city pressing on through the downpour.
