A double-decker bus rolls down a deepening street as the day burns out behind it, the sky melting from amber into soft apricot above a distant clock tower. Long shadows pool across the wet road while solitary figures drift toward the warm horizon, the whole scene loosened by Kenton's quick, gestural marks and washes of ink that pull at the edges of the buildings.
There is a quiet, going-home stillness here, the city exhaling at the close of the day.
