“On the Move”

Dusk gathers over a London thoroughfare, the silhouette of a famous clock tower glowing against a luminous sky at the end of the street. A bus presses forward with headlamps lit, figures move along the pavement, and the wet road streaks the scene with reflected light. The whole picture leans into motion, towards home, towards evening.
Loose, sweeping ink work gives the wet tarmac its sheen and the architecture its smoky, atmospheric edge.
This is an original ink painting on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
