"Reflections on the Thames" looks out across the Thames at sunset, the sky alive with orange, pink and red as The Shard rises against the light on the left, with the City of London's skyline stretching away to the right. The river carries the whole scene in reflection, the warm tones of the sky broken up by the blues and golds of the buildings lining either bank. Painted in oil on aluminium as an original work, the metal surface adds a natural sheen to the water and windows, reinforcing the sense of light caught at its most vivid point in the day.
