“Tuscan Horizon” reflects the timeless landscape of Tuscany, painted en plein air during Paul’s 2024 European trip. Rolling hills stretch across the region in soft layers of vineyards, farmland and olive groves, their contours shaped by centuries of cultivation. Lines of cypress trees rise through the landscape, marking winding roads and distant hilltop settlements that sit quietly above the valleys. Warm evening light settles across the fields, revealing the gentle rhythm and colour of the Tuscan countryside. Painted on location, the work carries the atmosphere of the region, where expansive views, soft light and cultivated hills create one of Italy’s most recognisable landscapes.
