“Beneath the Palms”

Tall palms arch and sway against a soft, silvery expanse of water, their fronds caught mid-movement in the dimming light. The trunks lean and cross, framing a calm lagoon that stretches into mist, the foreground tangled with darker undergrowth.
Worked entirely in tonal ink, the painting trades postcard brightness for mood, the wet washes lending the scene a humid, atmospheric hush at the close of day.
This is an original ink on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
