Crypto Circus

A digital progression of an original London cityscape painting, created with mixed media on aluminium sheet. As darkness falls, the digital billboards of Piccadilly Circus radiate blazing light and electrifying atmosphere. Visions of Bitcoin, Ethereum and the cryptocurrency ecosystem emerge on the screens, suggesting the growing influence of blockchain on the present zeitgeist. The motion of this busy intersection provides an ever-changing backdrop to the Eros fountain, which in contrast remains frozen in time.

To create this piece, the original oil painting was digitised at high resolution, preserving the tones and textures of the source artwork. Composite images were then enhanced and expanded upon through three dimensional digital manipulation and motion to create the final NFT.
