Expanse Set

Initially painted in acrylics on canvas with a vivid colour palette of contrasting reds and blues, layering fiery paints over a cool background. This creates an illusion of space and distance, as the warm colours project forwards in contrast. The canvas is struck with wide gestural brushmarks and thick scrapings of paint. Incorporating gold leaf into the composition gives the work a unique shimmering element. A visual burst of colour, light and energy.
