High Line Skyline

A digital progression of an original cityscape painting of Manhattan, New York, painted in mixed media on aluminium. The glowing illuminations of the bustling traffic burn through the streets, from the elevated view of the High Line directly into the heart of Manhattan.

To create this NYC piece, the physical oil painting was digitised using a Leica M (Type 240) rangefinder camera, paired with the Leica Summilux-M 1:1.4/35 lens for superlative colour depth and image quality, preserving the tones and textures of the source painting. Several images were then composited & enhanced to create the final artwork.
