Impressions Of Precipitation

A vision of a rain soaked Manhattan cityscape, progressed from an original physical painting in mixed media on sheet aluminium. The work depicts a tranquil New York scene after rainfall covers the street in a layer of glass-like water, allowing for stunning reflections of light and vibrant colour.

To create this piece, the original painting was digitised at high resolution, preserving the tones and textures of the source artwork. Composited images were then enhanced and expanded upon through three dimensional digital manipulation and motion. Multiple video animations of digitally painted embellishments were recorded and interwoven into the scene to create the final NFT.
