Manhattan Exhalation

“Manhatan Exhalation” is an NFT motion artwork, available to purchase. A digital metamorphosis of an original New York cityscape painting, created with oils on aluminium. In this dynamic scene, Manhattan appears to almost breath with life, as steam clouds billow from the city streets. Yellow taxi cab lights beam and trail beneath a towering monochrome skyline, portraying New York’s characteristic fast-pace and iconic colour palette.

To create this piece, the physical oil paintings were digitised using a Leica M (Type 240) rangefinder camera, paired with the Leica Summilux-M 1:1.4/35 lens for superlative colour depth and image quality, preserving the tones and textures of the source painting. The composite images were then enhanced and expanded upon through digital manipulation and motion to create the final NFT.
