Manhattan Malfunctions

A digital progression of an original cityscape painting of Manhattan, painted in mixed media on aluminium. Neon paint pulled across a sheet of aluminium leaves marks reminiscent of interference patterns, as if viewing the energised streets of New York through a glitched digital transmission.

The collector also has the option to receive a signed fine art print measuring 420mm x 420mm, at no extra cost, as a 1:1 special artist edition.*

To create this NYC piece, the physical oil painting was digitised using a Leica M (Type 240) rangefinder camera, paired with the Leica Summilux-M 1:1.4/35 lens for superlative colour depth and image quality, preserving the tones and textures of the source painting. Several images were then composited & enhanced to create the final artwork.
