Night Crawler

A Neo-noir facade of Manhattan, progressed from an original physical painting in mixed media on sheet aluminium. The veneer of contemporary New York is penetrated by a vision of the looming ubiquity of cryptocurrency on our culture.

To create this piece, the original painting was digitised at high resolution, preserving the tones and textures of the source artwork. Composited images were then enhanced and expanded upon through three dimensional digital manipulation and motion. Multiple video animations of digitally painted embellishments were recorded and interwoven into the scene to create the final NFT.
