A classic black cab rolls down a narrow street lined with tall terraced facades, fire escapes zigzagging up their fronts as a gothic tower presides over the far end. The wet road draws the eye into the distance, perspective lines converging toward the hazy heart of the city. There is a nostalgic, storybook stillness to the scene, all soft greys and sharp draughtsmanship.
Kenton lays crisp ink linework over delicate sepia washes, the architecture rendered with confident, gestural precision.
