Beneath the heavy ironwork of an elevated railway, figures cross a busy intersection, their silhouettes stretched into long reflections on the rain-slicked road. A one-way sign and a parked car anchor the foreground, while the street recedes into a bright, hazy gap between dark buildings.
Kenton builds the scene from confident tonal washes, the wet pavement throwing back streaks of light that give the city its restless, after-rain energy.
