The heart of Manhattan blazes after rain. Billboards and neon flare in red, orange and blue down a canyon of buildings, their colour streaming across the soaked road in long, vivid reflections. Traffic and figures move through the wash of light, the city utterly alive in the wet evening air.
Using watercolour, gouache and ink, Kenton lets the lights run liquid, dragging the brilliance of the signage down into the mirror of the street.
