Figures stride down a hazy avenue, their long shadows stretching across the pavement toward us. Skyscrapers tower into a pale mist, a slender spire rising at the end of the street while signage marks the way. Worked in watercolour and ink, the scene is a study in light, shadow and the anonymous flow of the city.
Kenton's gestural drips and confident dark washes give the monochrome a raw, kinetic charge, the haze swallowing the buildings into soft grey distance.
