A wide canal opens between leaning buildings, its turquoise water alive with broken reflections of domes and ochre facades. A small boat drifts in the foreground, trailing ripples through the colour as the city beyond glows in violet, rose and gold under a soft, bright sky.
Kenton lets the watercolour mingle wet and loose, the ink lines flickering through to suggest masts, windows and waterline without ever tightening the spell.
