The lagoon lies still beneath a sky banded in deep indigo and molten orange, the sun a soft blaze low on the water. A gondolier glides into the foreground in silhouette while the domed skyline of the city sits dark against the glow, its outline shimmering in the reflected light.
Kenton handles the watercolour in broad, atmospheric washes, the warmth of the horizon meeting cool violet shadow with quiet drama.
