A great polished sphere dominates the frame, its curved surface warping the surrounding towers and plaza into a swirling reflection. A solitary suited figure strides past below, caught mid-step between the cool verticals of the city and the silvered distortion at its heart.
Worked in fluid ink washes, the piece plays the hard geometry of skyscrapers against the liquid bend of the mirror, the lone walker giving human scale to the monumental moment.
This is an original ink on Indian paper painting, part of the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame, by Paul Kenton.
