Morning sun slips between the towers and pours down the avenue, gilding the pavement as commuters stride toward us in long, theatrical shadows. Traffic signals glow, a bus idles and a slender spire pierces the warm haze, while sharp diagonals of light and cool blue shade give the street a real sense of waking energy.
Kenton works the watercolour and ink with confident restraint, letting bleached paper carry the glare and loose washes describe the architecture rather than detail it.
