Framed Dimensions (approx): 44.5 x 54.5 cm | 17.5 x 21.5 in

Nestled amidst Tuscany's rolling hills, a solitary farmhouse stands bathed in warm sunlight, with the majestic Apuan Alps rising in the distance. In Hilltop Homestead, Paul Kenton employs his signature palette knife technique to infuse the scene with texture and vitality, capturing the harmonious blend of human habitation and natural splendor that defines the Tuscan countryside. The juxtaposition of the inviting homestead against the imposing mountains evokes a sense of peaceful isolation and enduring beauty.

Paul is an avid ‘Plein Air’ painter, whereby he will explore the landscapes, countrysides and coastlines of the countries he travels to, and will capture the scenes in paintings and sketches whilst outside in the open air. Paul then often uses these smaller artworks as the inspiration and guidance behind his larger studio works. In his 365 Project, Paul actually dedicated an entire year to creating art ‘Plein Air’ every single day. In the trailer for the project, Paul can be seen painting from the waters of his local Devon coastlines, all the way to the streets of Manhattan: Watch Paul painting ‘Plein Air’ in the 365 Project Trailer on YouTube.
