To create the unusual effect in this statement abstract art piece, Paul built a unique machine that enabled him to paint the canvas as it continually rotated on a large cylinder. The constant motion of the canvas beneath his painting tools created a truly dynamic surface, made up of many layers of dripped, fluid lines.
