Rain transforms the night into a riot of colour. Umbrellas cluster along a narrow street as crimson, magenta and gold lights smear and shimmer across the soaked pavement. Figures hurry between the glow of shopfronts, their reflections dissolving into the wet ground in long, painterly streaks.
Kenton revels in this weather, using watercolour and gouache to let the brilliant signage bleed and the puddles double every flicker of light into something richer.
