As a life-long surfer, Paul has travelled the world in search of the perfect wave, but his most memorable experiences in the water are when he has been faced with an unruly ocean. This painting is inspired by the darker ever-moving waves Paul has encountered, whilst also portraying the calm and peace he feels when in the water. These moonlit waves are formed with swirls and blends of resin, which flow beautifully like water on the gleaming aluminium surface. A few final touches of white give the impression of seafoam and the gentle moonlight touching the tips of the waves.
