‘White Caps’ – An Original Resin Seascape Painting by Paul Kenton

Black floating frame

The ocean is endlessly fascinating to Paul, as both a surfer and an artist. To create this piece, Paul works in fluid resin, using sweeping gestures to create the powerful ebb and flow of the waves. Layers of transparent resin create the impression of deep water, pushing the limits of a two-dimensional artwork.
Touches of white resin separate to form seafoam, whilst warm tones in the sunset sky are subtly reflected on the water’s surface. Just like water, the painting glimmers as it reflects the light dancing across the reflective aluminium.
