“Street in Yellow”

183 x 122 cm | 72 x 48 in

"Street in Yellow" pulls you straight into a wet New York street, three yellow cabs pushing forward through the rain with their headlights reflected across the darkened tarmac below. The buildings rise steeply on either side in cool greys and slate, the warmth of the cab lights and neon signage providing the contrast that gives the scene its energy. This original mixed media work on boxed canvas measures 182cm x 122cm, and at that scale the texture and physicality of the paint surface really comes into its own.
