“Urban Approach”

120 x 120 cm | 47.25 x 47.25 in

"Urban Approach" looks out over an elevated rail line as a subway train pulls in from the right, the city skyline stretching behind it beneath a dramatic red and orange sunset sky. The Empire State Building is visible in the distance, the warm tones of the sky contrasting sharply with the cooler blues and purples of the buildings below and the streak of gold light along the tracks. This original mixed media work on boxed canvas, 120cm x 120cm, has real energy to it — the palette knife texture and strong contrasts giving the scene a raw, cinematic feel.
