“Urban Fury”

239 x 198 cm | 94 x 78 in

"Urban Fury" is an original mixed media painting on boxed canvas and one of Paul's most visceral and large-scale works, measuring an imposing 94 x 78 inches and commanding attention with an explosive energy that smaller pieces simply cannot replicate. A monochromatic city structure of deep grey and black forms the backbone of the composition, skyscrapers dissolving into abstraction whilst vivid splashes of red, teal and yellow erupt across the surface in every direction, a lone figure barely visible amidst the chaos of the street below. It is a painting that doesn't depict the city so much as embody it — its noise, its relentless pace and its overwhelming, exhilarating scale.
