Framed Dimensions (approx.): 75 x 59.5 cm | 29.5 x 23.5 in

"Empire Street" looks along a Manhattan street towards the Empire State Building, its upper floors catching the light against a soft blue sky as taxis and traffic queue through the intersection below. The palette sets metallic silvers, greys and bronze against bursts of red, orange and yellow from the cabs and signage, the wet street pulling those colours down into loose reflections. Painted in mixed media on board as an original work, the heavily textured palette knife surface gives the buildings real physical presence.
