“Bridge Nocturne”

68 x 37 cm | 26.75 x 14.5 in

Framed Dimensions (approx.): 82 x 51 cm | 32.25 x 20 in

"Bridge Nocturne" frames the Manhattan Bridge at night, viewed from street level with dark buildings closing in on either side and the bridge's tower and cables lit against a sky of deep blue and violet. The wet street below mirrors the scene in broken fragments of light — whites, blues and warm ambers — giving the lower half of the composition as much interest as the bridge itself. This original mixed media on board, 37 x 68cm, is a moody, closely observed piece with a heavily textured surface that rewards close inspection.
