Towering Perspective by Paul Kenton, UK contemporary cityscape artist, an original New York street painting from his New York Collection

Towering Perspective

36″ x 72″
Oil on Aluminium

Looking down onto one of New York’s busy urban streets, this piece offers a unique view of this incredible city. Paul has used a palette knife to layer down defined linear marks, accentuating the angular features of the mighty skyscrapers and creating a strong sense of direction and perspective.

These distinct paint marks against gleaming areas of sublime aluminium give the painting a surface full of texture and movement. Light bounces off the exposed aluminium on the buildings, emphasising the dramatic shadows cast on a bright day in New York City.

‘Towering Perspective’ is an Original Cityscape Painting by Paul Kenton, capturing a bustling New York street. Paul regularly visits New York to continue to find new urban landscapes and skylines for inspiration. You can join Paul on one of these trips in this video from his YouTube channel here. Likewise, this video shows Paul working on”New York Hexaptych”. Spanning six panels, this unique statement piece engulfs the viewer in the immense scale of the New York City skyline and its towering high-rise buildings. The video features a great soundtrack by Blues Funk Orchestra/Utril Rhaburn, filmed in Central Park on the last day of the trip.
