Landscape Oils

2022

Landscape Oils, a print collection set by Paul Kenton: two square landscapes, one of a sunflower field beside a dusty farm track under trees, the other of rolling green fields beneath a big cloudy sky.
Close-up of a landscape painting showing thick, sweeping brushstrokes of white and grey clouds over a blue sky, with green fields, dark hedgerows and a distant purple hill beneath.
Close-up of a painted sunflower field beside a curving path, with loose, textured brushstrokes in yellow, green and ochre under a blue sky and dark trees.
Detail of a Paul Kenton landscape print: thick, bold brushstrokes of billowing grey-white clouds over a blue sky, with a purple hill range and green fields below.
Sunflowers in a row beside a curving dirt track under a tall tree and dark green hedgerow, with a blue sky; loose, textured brushwork in yellow, green and ochre.
Description

Landscape Oils steps away from Paul Kenton's city and coastal work into open countryside: a dirt track bordered by sunflowers beneath a broad tree, and rolling hills unfolding under a vast, cloud-filled sky.

Painted in oil, these compositions favour a calmer, more traditional plein-air sensibility — soft greens and golds, big skies, and the kind of unhurried space that contrasts with the artist's more energetic urban paintings.

This Limited Edition Giclée print collection set reproduces the landscape oils on fine art paper, well suited to anyone drawn to Kenton's quieter, more pastoral side.
