Description

London Pen & Ink is built from Paul Kenton's finest, most drawn-based work: dense cross-hatched linework describing St Paul's Cathedral, Nelson's Column in the rain, and the great glass roof of Paddington Station, each scene given a light watercolour wash.

A single red accent — a bus, an umbrella — breaks through the ink and grey wash in every composition, a recurring device that adds warmth and a splash of colour to otherwise restrained, architectural drawings.

This Limited Edition Giclée print collection set reproduces several of these pen-and-ink studies on fine art paper, showing London at its most detailed and considered.

Trafalgar Downpour

124/365 - Trafalgar Square is such a great spot to paint in the rain. The wide pavement is transformed into a pool of reflections, whilst Nelson's Column battles ominous skies overhead.
