“Midtown Silver”

61 x 45.5 cm | 24 x 18 in

Framed Dimensions (approx.): 75 x 59.5 cm | 29.5 x 23.5 in

"Midtown Silver" looks down over a midtown street from above, the city rendered almost entirely in silvers, greys and muted browns with the metallics doing much of the work — catching the light across rooftops, windows and the wet road below. Small bursts of orange, red and blue break through the monochrome, marking out traffic and signage in an otherwise hushed, misty scene. Painted in mixed media and metallics on board as a 24 x 18 inch original, the heavily textured surface shifts as light moves across it.
