In this statement piece, Paul captures the flashing billboard lights of London’s Piccadilly Circus reflecting on a wet pavement. Using his signature dripping technique, Paul forms pools of paint that ripple on the aluminium and exude liquid energy. A vibrant colour palette further transports us to the bright lights, exciting buzz, and constant sound of this iconic London intersection.
You might also enjoy these other London paintings from Paul's 365 Project. This was a year-long journey exploring a different range of mediums & working at sizes often smaller, than with his studio pieces. In many cases these formed the studies behind the larger studio works.
