Description

Electric Crossroads plunges you into the heart of Manhattan after dark, looking straight down a rain-slicked avenue as headlights, signage and glass towers dissolve into long streaks of colour. Crimson reds and cool teal blues collide across the composition, doubled and stretched in the wet pavement below.

Paul Kenton's signature palette-knife work gives the surface real texture — thick ridges of paint catching the light where glass towers meet the sky, drips and splatters standing in for the restless motion of traffic and neon. Each embellished giclée print on aluminium is hand-finished individually, so the metallic sheen and painterly texture of the original studio work carry through into every edition.

Produced as a Limited Edition of 195 and part of Paul's New York collection, Electric Crossroads is available with a black floating frame bringing the finished size to 107.5 x 107.5cm, ready to hang.
