Description

London Reflects presents the City of London in full panoramic sweep, St Paul's dome standing serene beside a skyline of glass and steel towers as the sun sinks behind them. An arched bridge cuts cleanly across the foreground while the Thames fractures the scene into vivid streaks of orange, blue and molten gold.

Printed on aluminium, the piece balances the precision of the City's architecture with genuine painterly energy. Thick, knife-worked highlights pick out the last of the sunset light across glass and water, while the aluminium surface catches and reflects light, bringing an added sense of luminosity to the piece.
