Description

St Paul's Star is number 141 from Paul Kenton's 365 Project — a year in which he committed to creating a new piece every single day. Rendered in pastel, it catches St Paul's Cathedral glowing white above a rain-slicked City street, red buses and taxis smearing colour across the wet tarmac as the Cathedral dome stands untouched by the bustle below.

The softness pastel brings to the drawing is offset by a surprisingly punchy palette — electric blue sky, hot reflections, warm streetlight glow — proof that the medium can carry as much energy as Kenton's paintwork. This limited edition giclée reproduction on fine art paper is drawn from an edition of 365, each numbered to mark its place within the project.
