Description

Blaze Across the Thames takes in London from above, a sweeping aerial view across the skyline as a molten sunset rolls in from the horizon. Reds, golds and electric blues wash across the mass of buildings below, with the Thames tracing a pale, luminous path through the composition.

The Shard stands bright at the centre of the piece, its glass facade catching and amplifying the blaze of colour, while impasto textures and energetic splashes of paint push the sense of movement across the whole canvas. Painted in mixed media and metallics on boxed canvas at a commanding1 22 x 244 cm, it's one of the largest and most dramatic works in Paul Kenton's London output.

Part of the London Collection, Blaze Across the Thames is a bold, large-scale statement piece for anyone drawn to the city at its most spectacular.
